Commercial Roles

(No Security Clearance Required)

All roles are at well-funded, rapidly growing, small to mid-size companies with experienced management teams and prior successful exits. We are hiring at least one, and sometimes as many as 10, people for each position.

Locations: VA roles are in the Dulles tech corridor (Tysons/Reston); UT roles are in Salt Lake City. NO fully remote roles. Other locations coming soon.

Eligibility: U.S. citizens only; no security clearance required but must be security clearance eligible in some cases. U.S. LPRs permitted in some cases.

AI/Machine Learning & Data Science

  • Lead Machine Learning Engineer | $170-200K+ | NLP, ML infrastructure, AWS | VA/UT (hybrid)

Data Engineering

  • Senior Data Engineer | $170K+ | Python, AWS, Elasticsearch | VA/UT (hybrid)
  • Senior Data Collection Engineer | $170K+ | Python, JavaScript, web scraping | VA/UT (hybrid)

Data Science

  • Data Scientist | $150K+ | Python/SQL, quantitative background | VA/UT (hybrid)
    (Prior experience should include significant analytic work--beyond dashboards--to be competitive.)

Frontend

  • Frontend Engineer | $120-250K+ | TypeScript, modern JavaScript frameworks | VA (in office)

Full Stack Development

  • Senior Full Stack Engineer | $130-170K+ | Python, Flask/Django, cloud-native | VA/UT (hybrid, in office)
  • Staff Full Stack Engineer | $170K+ | Technical leadership, architecture focus | VA/UT (hybrid, in office)

Information Security

  • GRC Analyst | $150k | ISO 27001, FedRAMP, GDPR & CCPA expertise | VA (Hybrid)
    (NOTE: This role is for a compliance expert to implement security frameworks, manage risk across cloud ecosystems, and maintain certifications while supporting sales through technical security validation. Startup experience strongly preferred.)

Management

  • Software Engineering Manager | $120-250K+ | Technical leadership background | VA (in office)

Professional Services

  • Senior Technical Consultant | $150-250K+ | Distributed systems, customer-facing engineering | VA (in office, some travel required)
    (NOTE: This role is for deep technical implementation work with cutting-edge infrastructure as well as strategic client engagement and technical advisory. It is more technical than customer success and closer to a sales engineering role with more coding and less sales.)

Systems & Backend

  • Backend & Systems Programmer | $120-250K+ | Rust, distributed systems, Linux kernel | VA (in office)
  • Embedded Systems Engineer | $120-250K+ | C/C++, x86 architecture, VMM | VA (in office)
    (Software NOT hardware focused role)
  • Build & Infrastructure Engineer | $120-250K+ | NixOS, Terraform, AWS Lambda | VA (in office)

Contracting/Cleared Roles

(Existing Security Clearance Required)

We have dozens of roles in software engineering, cybersecurity, IT, and more specific skill sets available to U.S. citizens with security clearances (usually TS/SCI with polygraph; no upgrades available.) $130k to $225k; most in VA, DC, or MD.
